The Ministry of Finance has made efforts to coordinate with donors to implement seven technical assistance projects using ODA grants in the first six months of 2022. These projects have helped the Ministry of Finance in implementing public finance reforms and have achieved specific outcomes.

The project "Public Finance for Children", referred to as PF4C Project, is funded by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The governing agency is the Ministry of Finance and the project owner is the National Institute for Finance.

IMF's recommendations on fiscal policy to help Viet Nam achieve its climate change mitigation goals

Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the IMF, the IMF supported the implementation of the Report "Assessment of Climate Change Mitigation Options in Viet Nam". The report reviews Viet Nam's climate change mitigation goals, discusses different fiscal policy tools that Viet Nam can use to achieve them, and makes recommendations on design the emission trading system (ETS) that Viet Nam plans to deploy in the near future.

Despite difficulties posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Finance of Viet Nam has made efforts to coordinate with donors to implement nine technical assistance projects using ODA grants in 2021. These projects have helped the Ministry of Finance in implementing public finance reforms and achieved certain outcomes in that field.

V20 Ministerial Dialogue VIII

The 8th Finance Ministerial Dialogue Meeting of the Vulnerable Twenty Group (referred to as V20) was held virtually on April 21, 2022. This dialogue focused on two main subjects which were the adaptation and resilience to climate change and the implementation of initiatives and the development of partnerships within the framework of V20 cooperation.
